Vous ne serez peut être [sic] pas sans vous rappeler qu'une instance est pendante ici à votre demande contre le sieur Sheridan Ford[3]. Une commission rogatoire, envoyée par M. le Juge d'instruction à Paris pour y faire interroger ce personnage par la justice française, vient de revenir sans avoir atteint son but. Il parait que l'oiseau s'[p. 2]est encore une fois envolé!
Si par hasard vous connaissiez où il perche actuellement, veuillez avoir l'obligeance de me le dire, afin que nous puissions enfin lui faire rendre compte de ses méfaits.
Vous pourriez en tous cas nous donner quelques renseignements sur l'identité du sieur Sheridan Ford.
Je saisis cette occasion pour vous féliciter du brillant succes que vous obtenez à l'Exposition de Bruxelles[4], & reste
