Dear Mr Brown -
I fear from my not hearing from you that Mrs. Brown may perhaps not be so well again - but I trust indeed that this is not so -
Did you understand clearly by my last note that the Council of the British Artists wish [sic] you to undertake the bringing out and publication [p. 2] of the Album of photographs in question -
Tonight is the meeting again of the Council, and I want so much to be able to give them further details -
Can you get down here today?
or will you perhaps in the afternoon - though indeed any time you came I would see you.
If impossible, will you come to the Hogarth club and have a steak at 7 this evening?
Or if all be difficult, will you write something that I may show, so that my servant can bring it back to me -
J McN Whistler.
