Je vais adresser à Dowdeswell[4], ainsi que vous me dites de le faire, la petite étude[5] d'enfant blonde que vous n'avez pas trouvée trop [p. 2] mauvaise. Seulement, j'y ajouterai une autre petite tête[6] que vous avez vue aussi, pour vendre, l'autre appartenant à Walter Sickert[7] à qui je l'ai offerte. -
Votre livre de cuisine va être prêt. Ma mère a ordonné à la cuisinière de parler. L'oracle observait toujours un silence terrible. -

Only, I will add to it another small head which you also saw, for sale, the other belonging to Walter Sickert to whom I offered it. -
Your cookery book will soon be ready. My mother ordered the cook to talk. The oracle preserved a terrible silence. -
I hope to see you soon, and again very many thanks.

Blanche would acquire a portrait of Sickert by JW, painted the following year, Portrait Sketch of Walter Sickert (YMSM 351).
