The Vice President[3] has brought your wishes before this afternoons Meeting of the Council. While wishing to consider your wishes in every way the Council regrets that it is [p. 2] unable to depart from the decision of last meeting. If Mr Mempes[4] [sic] will submit works tomorrow or next day they will receive careful consideration

Ses F. A. Maxse to JW, #02337. However, JW had quarrelled with Menpes some years previously and objected to his presence. Although JW's objection was overruled by the Council, in the end, Menpes did not exhibit with the ISSPG.
