Dear Mr Whistler
As I wired you this morning the agreement[2] was returned to your lawyers[3]. They no doubt will send it on to you today as I made but few alterations & those for the most part in your favour - such for [p. 2] instance as specifying when the money beyond £270 shd be paid you - & elucidating the percentage clause -
I have also your telegram this morning - I will select the proofs with Mr Brown[4] -
Will you send Ways[5] instructions to select those which we shall require from him to make up -
Failly yrs
Marcus B Huish
I notice that by no means all of the lithographs (Paris) are signed[.] There are no signed impressions of 11 of the 36. Shall you be up [p. 3] in London before the Exhibition & be able to sign them for it is essential that they should be signed for we shall have a good deal of trouble to convince people of the difficulty of difference between these & those which have been published in the Studio[6] & elsewhere. It is a pity that one appears at the moment that our show opens - I see that the Academy[7] this week draws attention to the fact that they have been sold for 1d each -
We ought also to have [p. 4] the prices fixed concurrently with the signing of the agreement - Can you let us have these.
