This letter was apparently written shortly after another from JW to R. Koehler dated 18 April 1888, #12744.

2.  Robert Koehler
Robert Koehler (1850-1917), painter and etcher [more]. The 3rd Internationale Kunst-Austellung, Munich, 1888, opened in July. JW sent a large group of works - thirteen oils, twenty watercolours, seven pastels and thirty etchings. The collector Alfred Chapman had agreed to lend Nocturne: Grey and Gold - Chelsea Snow (YMSM 174) to the exhibition (cat. no. 57). The other oils included Arrangement in Black: La Dame au brodequin jaune - Portrait of Lady Archibald Campbell (YMSM 242) and Harmony in Grey and Green: Miss Cicely Alexander (YMSM 129).
