My dear Whistler.
I will do my best to get to you on Wednesday morning, but I am bound to be here all this week from 11. to 1. so that if you could come & see me some afternoon it [p. 2] would be better.
I have been thinking over the engraving of Mrs Meux[2] & unless the family would guarantee a certain number of proofs, which I dont suppose you wd care to ask them, we could not engrave it -
[p. 3] I am sending Brown[3] down tomorrow for some proofs[4] [as?] we are at a complete standstill for want of them - and our balance sheet as regards that speculation looks by no means rosy at present -
Yours failly
Marcus B Huish
J A McNeill Whistler Esq

See A. Graves to JW, 28 January 1882, #01804.
