Caroline Burland Yates was a landscape and figure painter.

Life:

She exhibited widely at the Glasgow Institute of Fine Arts, Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool, the Royal Academy and the Royal Society of British Artists. She married the artist Thomas Cooper Gotch (1854-1931) in 1881. The Gotches lived in Newlyn, Cornwall where they became associated with the Newlyn School artists like Stanhope Forbes, Elizabeth Stanhope Forbes and Walter Langley.
