George Vulliamy was an architect.

Life:

George Vulliamy is listed at 1 Duncannon Street, London, SW, in 1861, and as architect of the Metropolitan Board of Works in Spring Gardens, Charing Cross, in 1864. It was in the latter position that he met Whistler in the 1870s. He was involved in the protracted negotiations over the design and building of Whistler's new studio and house, the 'White House' in Tite Street, designed by Edward William Godwin. Drawings by Vulliamy are in the collections of the RIBA.
