Maria Tuke daughter of Daniel Hack Tuke, was a marine watercolourist, landscape and flower painter. Born in Falmouth, Cornwall, she was the sister and biographer of the genre and portrait painter Henry Scott Tuke. She married Dr Harrington Sainsbury (1853-1936) in 1889.

Life:

She exhibited between 1885 and 1911 at the Royal Academy, the New English Art Club, the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours and elsewhere.
