Identity:
Marcel Schwob was a writer; he married Marguerite Moréno of the Comédie Francaise.
Life:
He was an erudite scholar, translator of Shakespeare and Defoe. He is best known for Coeur double (1891), Le livre de Monelle (1896), and Les vies imaginaires (1896).
He probably met JW in the mid 1890s through Stéphane Mallarmé they had other mutual friends including Oscar Wilde and JW's brother-in-law, Charles Whibley.
