Identity:
Hercules Arthur Temple Robinson was an officer in the Royal Irish Fusiliers, who served in Zululand in 1888 and in South Africa in 1900-01. He was the only son of Sir Hercules George Robert Robinson (1824-1897), civil servant and colonial governor, and his wife Valentia. In 1891 he married the Hon. Edith Louisa, daughter of the 4th Baron Castlemaine, and they had two daughters. He became the 2nd Baron Rosmead in 1897.

Beatrix Whistler mentioned him in 1894, when she described him as an artist, betrothed to the eldest Miss Kinsella.
