Roger Riordan was a journalist, art critic and writer, as well as an etcher.

Life:

He was the author of French Etchers, examples of the etched work of Corot, Jacquemart, Ballin... (New York, 1884) and, with Tozo Takayanagi, of Sunrise stories; a glance at the literature of Japan (New York, 1896).

He is mentioned in JW's correspondence in the 1890s.
