Henry John Murcott was a picture framer, carver and gilder.
Murcott lived at 16 Hanover Street in Long Acre, London in the 1870s. In 1881 he was in St Pancras and his address in 1891 was 6 Endell Street, Long Acre. In 1901 he was living in Islington. In 1879 JW was in touch with him concerning the framing of his pictures for the Grosvenor Gallery exhibition. Harmony in Yellow and Gold: The Gold Girl - Connie Gilchrist (YMSM 190) was to be regilded and Nocturne in Blue and Silver (YMSM 151) and Arrangement in Brown and Black: Portrait of Miss Rosa Corder (YMSM 203) reframed [#04233, #04234].
