Horace Mann Livens was a painter of landscape, urban scenes and figure subjects.
He studied at Croydon School of Art and later in Antwerp where he knew Van Gogh. He exhibited at the Royal Academy, the Royal Society of British Artists and elsewhere. In 1898, during JW's presidency, he was invited to exhibit with the International Society of Sculptors, Painters and Gravers.
