Identity:
Alexander Arnold Hannay was recorded in 1881 as an articled clerk to a solicitor. He was then living with his father, Alexander Hannay (b. 1822), an independent minister without charge, and mother Mary (b. 1823), at Lineludon House, Sunnyside Road, London.
Life:
Hannay became a solicitor and was a collector. He owned Portrait of Alexander Arnold Hannay (YMSM 473) and The Shop Window (YMSM 377).
